Originally from New Zealand, I first experienced a Hokkaido winter in 2008 and I was instantly hooked! After visiting almost annually, I couldn't get enough until I moved permanently to Asahikawa in 2022. With more than 15 years chasing powder in central Hokkaido, one season working as a resort host and two seasons as a professional guide, I have obtained a deep knowledge of the resorts and backcountry in this amazing area.
